Oh how I adore this family! Jeff and Dawn make raising a large family look effortless, and as a mom to four kids myself, I know that is far from the truth. This was my second time photographing this gorgeous family, and with their oldest son now living out of state, it was a different (but beautiful) dynamic for this photo session. I spoke with Dawn about the struggle of family photos as kids grow and leave home, and I was touched by her desire to continue documenting her family through the changes.
They chose to come to my home in Kiowa, Colorado for some farm family photos, and we had a beautiful evening full of breathtaking golden light. We laughed hard, had some fun, and took some stunning photos, and I am once again so incredibly grateful for the blessings of this job.
Jeff and Dawn: Thank you. Your family is incredible, and I am so thankful for your trust in me to photograph you.
