Winter is such an unpredictable and exciting time to schedule photo sessions in Colorado! Will there be a foot of snow or will it be 70 degrees? Sun or clouds? It could literally be anything, which adds to the fun.
Shannon and Jon scheduled their maternity photo session for mid-January, and to be honest, I was expecting at least a little bit of snow - even if it was just old dirty snow, haha. What we experienced was the exact opposite: we had a gorgeous winter evening with blue skies and dry fields and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The downside to winter in Colorado is that unless the ground is covered in snow, there is a lot of yellow and brown. However, Shannon's stunning red dress was the perfect pop of color, and their gallery was a stunning mix of primary colors (red dress, blue sky, yellows/browns from the location) which I absolutely loved!
These two were clearly so in love and sweet with each other, and they are elated to become parents soon! Shannon and Jon booked my maternity + newborn session bundle, so I get to see them again in a few weeks when I photograph them as a family of three!
Shannon and Jon: thank you so much for trusting me with your maternity photos! I LOVED meeting you both and I can't wait to photograph you again soon when baby Oren arrives!
