Ellie's Hudson Gardens senior photo session had me biting my nails up until we took the first photo. I arrived at the gardens about 15 minutes early, and as soon as I pulled in, the heavens opened – complete with thunder, lightning, and buckets of rain. When Ellie and her mom arrived and asked if I planned to reschedule, I mustered as much confidence as I could find and told them that I thought we'd luck out as soon as the rain passed. I had about 50% confidence in that decision, but it worked out perfectly. The rain slowed to a sprinkle and then stopped completely – leaving us with a blue sky and rainbows.
The evening only got better from there! Ellie was fun, confident, and up for anything, and WE MADE MAGIC together. Hudson Gardens gave us so many incredible backdrops, and we took full advantage of as many as we could.
If you're curious about what a senior photo experience with me looks like – it involves several outfit changes (if you want them), lots of poses and backdrops, and taking as many photos as possible. I want you to leave with a huge gallery full of photos that you love, and I'll never make you pick and choose – you'll get every single keeper. This means that I only delete duplicates, test photos, and anything unflattering such as blinks, sneezes, etc.
Now onto what you're here for...the photos! Scroll on down for a few of my favorites from Ellie's Hudson Gardens senior photo session. (Side note: Hudson Gardens is such a great location for photos, and is an option for any of my clients who book a 60 minute or longer photo session. They charge a flat $50 photography permit fee to use their grounds, and honestly, it's a steal the amount of variety that they offer.)
