I love nothing more than going through my work from the year, and remembering each client that I had the opportunity to work with. 2021 was one for the books, and I can't wait to show you some of my favorite photos from the year, but first I want to share some thoughts...
After 10+ years in business, I've found that common threads tend to weave their way through each year. I don't always notice them in real time, but they become obvious when I take the time to reflect, and I'd like to share one of my biggest takeaways from 2021.
Most of us schedule our family photos when things are going well in our lives: our marriages are solid, our kids are happy and healthy, and we want to capture our joy, our love, and our happiness. This year, I was humbled to serve several families who were not in a happy place. Whether it was a devastating health diagnosis, a pending divorce, or a divide between family members: circumstances were painful. However, these families all had one thing in common – they showed up and documented their love in the midst of pain. I am humbled and grateful to have witnessed the courage of some of these families.
Whatever stage you're currently in, this is my gentle reminder that your family is beautiful and worth remembering in every season of life.
I want to end this post with some much-needed thank you's. As much as I would love to take all of the credit for this business, I wouldn't be here without the help of so many:
As we close the door on 2021 and move into the New Year, I want to wish you all a blessed and Happy New Year. I hope to see you in 2022. Cheers! 🥂
