I rarely share personal posts anymore, but I'm making an exception because 1.) I'm excited, and 2.) there are photos to share! 😉
The past few months have caused so many people to make some big decisions and life changes, and I guess that we have now joined that club (on a smaller scale, at least.) Jason and I have been thinking about buying another piece of land for years - I kid you not, we have probably talked about it weekly for the past 5 years - and last week we closed on a property in Westcliffe! We are now the proud owners of 35 acres in the Wet Mountain Valley. The majority of the property is rolling hills with a few small pine trees, but there are also some rock outcroppings, a seasonal creek, and a grove of aspen trees. However, the main selling point was the views - photos honestly don't do this place justice. There are panoramic views of the Sangre De Cristos and Wet Mountains from almost every inch of the property and that is what sold us on this place.
We don't have any immediate plans for the land other than using it to camp, but I'm hoping to use it for photos in some capacity, and I'm pretty sure that Jason will eventually build an off-grid tiny house on it, haha! 🤞 (And no, we're not leaving Kiowa!)
Now for the fun part...photos! All of these photos were taken during a family hike on the property - enjoy!
