Extended family photo sessions are some of my favorites! I love the different dynamics and having multiple generations together to document their relationships. Marie is the gorgeous mom to Jessica, and grammy to Jessica's two beautiful little girls, so when she contacted me to set up a session with them I was thrilled! I 100% think that grandparents should get into the photos with their kids and grandkids more often! 

We met at one of my FAVORITE hidden gem locations in Castle Rock and we basically had the whole area to ourselves for our entire hour together. We had a beautiful evening followed by one of the most stunning fire-orange sunsets I've ever seen. This, of course, meant that I was running around like a crazy person, trying to grab some silhouette photos before the light changed, and OH MY WORD was it ever worth it! I wish I had a behind the scenes photo of this silhouette set-up, because the resulting photos look NOTHING like what was actually happening, other than that glowing sky. ;-) I was on the side of a grassy hill yelling and waving my arms to direct this sweet family as they were standing in the parking lot. Needless to say, it is much less glamorous than it looks in the photos, haha.
