The Rodriguez family met me on a super chilly fall morning in Castle Rock, Colorado. I kid you not - it was about 20 degrees outside, but they were such troopers and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful morning for some updated family photos! The canyon was full of warm morning sunlight, and the cliffs were glowing! It was so cold that the prairie grass was still covered in frost, which actually led to some of my favorite photos of the whole session. The juxtaposition between the fall colors and the wintery grass was beyond gorgeous.
I photographed Mary's extended family years ago (2012, I believe, but definitely before this blog existed, haha) and it was such a joy to photograph her again with the incredible family that she has now built. Luis and Mary have two of the most adorable kiddos, and Mary's mom was able to join us as well, so we got some sweet photos with her also! 2019 has definitely been the year of extended family photos for me, and I wouldn't have it any other way! In fact, it actually motivated me to schedule extended family photos for myself and they are some of my most treasured photos to date.
Luis, Mary, and family: thank you so much for trusting me to update your photos! I loved every second of our time together, and I hope to do it again soon! :-)
