I was so thrilled when this sweet family wanted to come out to my farm in Kiowa this year for their family photos! Colorado in the fall can be one of the most BEAUTIFUL places on Earth, but this year we had that freak freeze in early October that annihilated the fall colors. Nothing like a few days of sub-zero temps to turn everything from greens and yellows to brown. :-(
The *good* news is that I don't rely on the leaves for interest or color out here on the farm, so my Kiowa sessions were aaaaahhhhh-mazing! When I photograph sessions on the Colorado plains I use the rolling grassy fields, Pikes Peak views, old wood fences, and barns as my backdrops, so this place is a great all year long.
Anyway, I first met Slade, May, and their little guy Seth last fall during my Parker mini-sessions, and I was so happy that they wanted to come out to Kiowa this year! We had a PERFECT evening for photos - the weather was warm, the sun was full of golden light, and I had an amazing, loving family to work with! I am so incredibly thankful for clients like these who trust me to photograph them year after year! Slade and May: I loved my time with you so much this year - let's do it again in 2020! :-)
