I look so forward to my time at Waterstone Preschool each year! 2018 marked my 4th year as their official school photographer, and each year just gets better and better. Not only do I get to see old friends who work at the school (I co-taught a pre-k class there from 2005 to 2008, and my girls attended the preschool for 4 years) but I get to see how the children have grown from the year before. This year I had the privilege to photograph just over 150 kiddos between the ages of 12 months and 5 years old. Waterstone Preschool is such a blessing to me and I am so thankful to have a chance to share a few photos from my time there!
School photos are so much different than the other sessions I do throughout the year, so it is always a much anticipated challenge to create photos that are joyful, real, and in line with my photographic style, but also a tad more formal than my normal work. Oh, and I only get to spend about 90 seconds with each child which adds another level of
difficulty fun. Thankfully, between an incredible group of kids and teachers (and my own bag of tricks) we get the job done each year. ;-)
I can only share a few photos publicly in order to protect the privacy of the students, but I can share a few adorable faces here today. (Thank you to the teachers who have allowed me to share their own kiddos photos!) I can't wait to see you all again next fall! :-)
