I am thrilled to be able to share another Kiowa family photo session today! I have been photographing Stephanie and Garrett for several years, and at this point they truly feel more like friends than clients. I have been honored to photograph their engagement session, wedding, newborn sessions for both of their girls, and now have moved on to family sessions! I have said it before, but Stephanie and Garrett are my people - they are down to earth and kind, and just a complete joy to be around. It has been so much fun to watch them grow from a newly engaged couple into incredible parents to two gorgeous girls (who I am fairly sure could NOT be any cuter!) Reagan and Callie turned on all of the joy and energy and laughter for their session!

I will be honest and admit that the idea of family photos can be stressful for the parents of toddlers - these tiny humans are unpredictable, and sometimes things don't go exactly as planned, but if you go into your session ready to go with the flow we can create some magic together! I actually didn't even have to have that pep talk with Stephanie and Garrett, because they were so relaxed and happy with whatever photos we were able to create (and I LOVE the photos that we created!!) Truly, though, it makes a HUGE difference if you can let go of the idea of Pinterest perfection when it comes to photos with young children, because if you let them lead the way we will usually end up with photos that are even more beautiful than you were hoping for. <3

Stephanie and Garrett: you two are the best. I am so thankful to have had the chance to get to know you both over the past few years, and I have loved every second of photographing some of your most important milestones! Thank you for making the trip out to the farm to update your family photos - I hope that you love these as much as I do!! :-)
