This gorgeous Kiowa family session filled my cup in so many ways! I have been open about my struggle to find my place in the post-wedding-photographer world, and sessions like this one have reinforced that I am finally doing exactly what I should be doing! I have always envied photographers who had a niche that was completely unique to them, and as this year has progressed and I have been blessed with incredible clients and sessions like this one, I have started to feel like I am inching ever-so-slowly toward that goal of finding a niche in the realm of family photography for myself.

Brandon and Nicole are longtime clients of mine, and truly feel like friends at this point. I have been privileged to photograph their engagement session, their gorgeous wedding in Grand Lake, several branding sessions for Nicole's jewelry business (see those here, here, and here) and a mommy and me session with Nicole and her daughter Thea last spring. Needless to say, I was elated to hear that they wanted me to update their family photos this fall, and I was even MORE excited when I found out that they wanted to come to Kiowa for a farm session!

I loved every. single. second of my time with these three! They are always so kind and fun to work with, and baby Thea was so full of smiles that I had to pinch myself to believe it! Nicole always does an incredible job of styling her sessions so I knew that they would look amazing, but she knocked the clothing coordination out of the park this time! She chose a color palate of neutrals and browns in varying shades and they were the perfect compliment to the golden light and warm tones here on the farm. And that sunset and golden hour light? Well it was perfect. :-)

Brandon and Nicole: I am so thankful for your support of my business over the years! I can't tell you how much it means to have been a part of so many huge milestones in your lives, and I can't wait to continue documenting them in the future!
