Small business owners talk a lot about "ideal clients." Well, if I were going to design my own ideal client the Ambrose family would definitely fit that mold! Why? For starters, they are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet! John and Nancy are down to earth, relatable, and incredible parents! And their kids? These are two of the most respectful, talented, and smart kids I have ever met.

They also value photography. A lot! Case in point: we photographed this session during the Super Bowl! WHAT!? I am personally not a big football fan so it was no loss for me, but I couldn't imagine a client who would choose family photos over the Super Bowl until this one! I have done three sessions with them, and each time Nancy has had an idea in mind for the session, but ultimately she has trusted me with the creative control. As a photographer, I can't ask for more than that! I absolutely love sessions where both the client and I have ideas and we can work together to create something magical!! 

We waited a while for this session, because Nancy wanted SNOW and December and January were both bone dry. Then came February and we finally had a good snow, so we headed out in the single digit temperatures to make some winter wonderland magic happen! I'll be honest...I really dislike being cold, but once I saw this beautiful family in the snow with the golden hour light it was so worth it!
